Ummah Helping Hands investigates houses in poor villages that are in very bad condition, such as having leaking roofs, temporary walls, or barely liveable structures. Sleeping for these families is not a luxury, but about survival through rainstorms and heat.

“My name is Ahmad and I have 8 people in my family. One of my daughters has a mental illness. I have a small business selling tea. After the 2002 riots, I had to relocate my cabin, and my business began to decline. Our house was in a desperate state with a leaking roof. I approached UHH, and Alhumdulillah, with their help, the roof has been repaired with a metal sheet. Alhumdulillah, we now live comfortably under a safe roof.”
